New Moon, Large Dimensions is a coming of age poetry, prose, and art book created, designed, and edited by Indira Buerklin. The book consists of three parts; pre, during, and post-pandemic. A recap of her childhood and young adulthood in the prologue is followed by poems, paintings, and drawings about childhood, loss, love, and coming of age during changing times. New Moon, Large Dimensions features "In May", a 15,000 word nonfiction novella about nineteen year old Indira, and her experience as a server at a family owned restaurant. The plotline follows Indira's entanglement in the owner's family drama, featuring themes of gender, marriage, and coming of age as a young woman in the 21st century.
