New Light Testament John: Listening to the Living Word

This version of the gospel of John is subtitled Listening to the Living Word. This is not a translation like The Trilingual Interlinear Bible which has each verse in Greek, ultra-literal English and ultra-literal Spanish. Instead, this New Light New Testament is an opportunity to hear what the spirit now says to the assemblies...to listen to the living presence speak within our own minds and heart. In the Beginning was the Word, indeed. From the first chapter: JOHN 1 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word arose within Mystery, and the Word was an expression of Mystery. 1:2 It was in the beginning within Mystery. 1:3 Through the Word, human beings came to perceive the pattern of all things; without language and understanding, nothing that is known, could have become known. 1:4 Within the Word was life, and that life became the light of humanity. 1:5 The light shines within the darkness, and the darkness has never extinguished it. 1:6 There came a man named John, awakened and empowered within Mystery. 1:7 He came as a witness, to testify concerning the light, so that through his witness others might come to trust it. 1:8 He was not himself the light, but he came to bear witness concerning the light. 1:9 The true light, which enlightens every human being, is continually coming into the world.
