My Summer Escape to Winter

A trip to Australia, "My Straya" I would call it by the time I left. The words that stirred my soul to act ... a "dare I dream" to make reality. "You call me out upon the waters", the opening words of the song "Oceans" by Hillsong which played over and over again in my mind. "I've got to escape the summer heat this year!" a cry from deep inside this Jamaican, desperately seeking respite, yearning for cool climes. These thoughts, the catalyst that would ignite the spark and inflame the fire that was to become my favourite travel adventure to date.
