Marriage is one of the greatest blessings God can bestow upon a man and a woman. From the very first pages of Genesis, God declares, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him" (Genesis 2:18). This is not merely a social arrangement, but a divine plan, born from the very heart of God. Yet marriage is also one of the deepest, most sacred... and sometimes most demanding commitments. Too often, people enter into it thinking only of personal happiness, shared plans, or romantic love. But God sees beyond that. Marriage, in God's eyes, is a spiritual mission. It is not simply about sharing a life, a home, or children, but above all about caring for one another's souls. As the Apostle Paul reminds us, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4). The home then becomes the primary place of Christian service.
