The book is a mix of pet columns over 40 years and personal stories. It includes photos. I wrote pet columns for The Medford Central Record in New Jersey, The Press in Ellenville, NY and The Shawangunk Journal in Ellenville. My first published work was for Old Times magazine entitled, An Act of Friendship, about my grandfather rescuing a dog who had fallen through the ice.After reading an animal column by a woman named, Miss Jeanne, at age 19, I longed to some day do the same thing. My hope was to teach kindness as well as be humoress.The book contains many tips on proper pet care from many veterinarians and through caring for 10 dogs, 30 cats, five birds, four Guinea pigs, two cows and a goat over 75 years.
