My Friend Bridget

Mary's life in the United States collapses overnight when she's laid off from her job. She seizes an opportunity to move to Dublin, Ireland, on a one-year Holiday Work Visa. Her new city is a canvas of cobbled streets and cozy pubs, but it's her encounter with an Irish step dancer that truly changes everything. When Mary discovers that Bridget shares the same name as her deceased mother, an immediate and profound bond forms. Their friendship blossoms into a kind of found family, filling a void Mary never knew she had. As the year draws to a close and Mary's visa expiration date looms, the weight of her impending departure settles over their relationship. Bridget, once so open and lively, becomes distant and withdrawn. She stops answering Mary's texts and disappears. Mary is left to piece together the fragments of their friendship, desperate to understand what happened to the woman who showed her a new way to live. Her year in Dublin began as a search for a new life and ended with her fighting to hold on to the last piece of the one she found.
