Mortiferum

A book about a series of murders in the USA, and a group of people that gets involved and tries to solve it. They discover it to be darker and deeper than anything they have ever seen. Emma always believed that her brother’s death was a hate crime. Until one day, a police officer tells her he is reopening the case. He believes that her brother’s death wasn't an isolated incident. Emma wants nothing to do with it, to her the case is closed. But, when an old friend gets involved, they convince Emma things are not lining up. She can no longer ignore this truth. Emma gets involved in a search for the truth and starts believing more and more of the officer’s suspicions. Another murder gets her next-door neighbor involved, and the group begins to unravel something that has been going on way longer than they could have expected. And faith has connected each one of them to all of it.
