Kekht Arakh's Morning Star is a raw, lo-fi black metal album released in 2026 via Sacred Bones Records, marking the Ukrainian artist's return after four years since Pale Swordsman. Crafted as a one-man project by Dmitry Marchenko, also known as Crying Orc, it was recorded between Berlin and Stockholm, capturing a phase of profound personal and artistic evolution. The sound fuses aggressive black metal riffs with textured soundscapes, melancholy atmospheres, and ferocity, incorporating electronic elements from Swedish producer Varg²™, rap influences via Bladee, and experimental samples from VS-55, all while maintaining a visceral, lo-fi edge that underscores themes of growth, sorrow, and introspection.This third full-length effort reflects emotional maturity, blending the raw aggression of prior works with romantic lyricism and innovative collaborations that expand its sonic palette. Drums were handled by Swedish artist Spira Me, adding depth to the self-recorded instrumentation, while mastering by James Ginzburg polishes its immersive darkness. Morning Star stands as a testament to Kekht Arakh's enigmatic prowess in modern black metal, evoking vast black skies and personal transformation without resolving whether changes are for better or worse, inviting listeners to interpret its open-ended narrative.
