Bol In the rain-soaked Valley of Despair, young Rune lives a quiet life with his father, a successful silk merchant. The valley, known for its sorrow and loss, becomes the unlikely setting for a divine calling. When a mysterious scroll from the Monastery of the Glen arrives at Rune's doorstep, sealed with the mark of the Author of Love, everything changes. The scroll invites Rune on a sacred pilgrimage across nine provinces, a journey that will test his faith, courage, and purpose. Before he departs, Rune prepares meticulously-saying farewell to dear friends like Pip and the resilient Widow Arlow, who moves into his home to support his father in his absence. Pip gifts Rune a handcrafted travel pack filled with items made lovingly by the village, a symbol of the unexpected love still alive in a place filled with grief. As Rune sets out, he's reminded that the path of truth is not always the obvious one. A cryptic message from a child redirects him from a ship toward a narrow, uncertain road-the first of many challenges that await him.Rooted in themes of calling, sacrifice, and divine purpose, Monastery, is a spiritual fantasy that explores what it means to follow the narrow path when few dare to.
