It's been almost a year since Evelyn moved into Carter's apartment building. A year filled with drama, excitement and only a tiny bit of crime. Which is why Carter's looking forward to the holidays for once. Not only because he's looking forward to some quiet time with Evelyn, but also because the holidays have been hard the last decade. Now, thanks to his new neighbour, he has a reason to look forward to all the simple, everyday things regular people do during the season. Too bad the Mackeys, a rival crime family, have decided to ruin the fun with a hit squad. Now Carter has to find a way to deal with the murderers and criminals gunning for him and Evelyn, all while doing his best to make sure she never realizes the danger they're in.
