Misfit Maid

A captivating historical love story! Perfect for fans of Georgette Heyer, Mary Balogh, Jane Aiken Hodge and Jane Austen. Can marriage and ambition work together...? London, 1796 Lady Mary Hope, known as Maidie, refuses to allow herself to be pushed into marriage with a man she dislikes. So she presents herself to Laurie, Viscount Delagarde, and asks him to sponsor her for a Season. Laurie is flabbergasted. As a confirmed bachelor he is the least suitable person for such a task. But his aunt Hester has other ideas... When Laurie's household is suddenly inundated with women, he is determined to make a stand, especially when Maidie's decidedly odd behaviour threatens to risk his reputation. But can he tame this eccentric and wilful maid into a respectable wife? Will she agree to change for his sake? Or could her transformation from a dowdy maid to a sparkling diamond cause Laurie to be the one to rethink what he wants in life...? MISFIT MAID is a lively, humorous historical romance set in Georgian England with an engaging and unconventional heroine.
