Milo and the Melting Rain

Milo and the Melting Rain is a sweet, funny, STEM-savvy children's book that uses science to turn a sticky problem into a powerful solution. When rain melts the candy brick houses of Sweeterville, young Milo the cat discovers that everyone's favorite blue slushy (Frosty Fizz) is to blame. With the help of the town, Milo forms the Fizz Fixers, racing to fix this sticky mess before a fizz tsunami swallows the town. From a dramatic wave racing toward town to shimmering canals and peppermint waterwheels that light the night, this gentle adventure shows children how creativity and teamwork can transform waste into something wonderful. Set in a candy-bright world, the art bathes Sweeterville in soft pastels and playful detail: cotton-candy rooftops that fizz under the first clear raindrops, a sagging Marshmallow Sky that slowly lifts, and wide cinematic spreads that turn science into a spectacle. Why parents and educators love it - Real science made playful: models the water cycle, simple engineering, and systems thinking without fear or gloom.- Builds agency: turns environmental anxiety into action with a solution any child can understand.- Conversation-ready themes: choices, community, reuse, leadership, and working with others to solve problems.- Classroom friendly: perfect for units on Earth Day, the water cycle, or introductory STEM. Why kids love it - A candy-bright world with giggly sound effects, a heroic cat, and a town that learns together.- Big "wow" moments, melting walls, epic waves, and brilliant saves that bring the action to life.- A satisfying ending where everyone helps and the sky turns fluffy again.
