Bol He's a six-foot-nine, 290-pound Italian butcher, but he doesn't act like a giant. He is a gentle man with a huge heart, but he must wear his stature straight up when he goes to prison. He is serving three consecutive 100-year sentences and has become a celebrity in the state pen. Most inmates and guards embrace him and nickname him "3." Short for "300," but some loathe him. The structure, block, inmates, and guards regenerate every few decades while his essence remains young and strong, even as his mind continues to develop. He builds bridges and tears down walls. He protects the righteous and condemns the guilty. But there are always plenty among them who lack trust, seek vengeance, and wish him dead.Mercy Camarade. The man who outlived his 300-year sentence.
