Mending Bridges

Xander Petterson wants to save his hometown-its historic bridges, its empty storefronts, its stubborn town council be damned-but he's spent years avoiding real love, terrified of repeating the mistake that cost his great-aunt everything. Rhys Healy wants to finish rebuilding the falling-down cottage he inherited and prove, mostly to himself, that he's more than the guy who fixes things for other people. He doesn't need Wilcox's most ambitious developer complicating either project. But Xander and Rhys keep colliding-on the bridge, at the hardware store, in a place too small for either of them to keep pretending nothing's happening - and the same fear that once kept two women apart starts looking like something these two men might actually be brave enough to conquer. Fans of Lane Hayes's Wood Hollow stories will feel at home in Wilcox, where an ambitious developer and a grounded electrician fall for each other under the same covered bridges their aunts once almost crossed together. Mending Bridges pairs opposites-attract with a slow-burn generational love story.
