Mauro's Hat

"Music hath charms," no doubt,‎ But what about the savage beast,‎ The lark, the dolphin, and the worm,‎ The aardvark, odd and oddly named?‎ ‎"Mauro's Hat" by Stuart Jay Silverman is the ordinary that becomes ‎extraordinary-woven with wit, tenderness, and a sharp eye for life's ‎quieter truths. From the scent of memory to the weight of grief, from ‎whimsical musings to aching goodbyes, this collection explores the deeply ‎human in both the everyday and the surreal. With language that sings and ‎imagery that lingers, each poem invites readers to pause, reflect, and ‎rediscover the world through a poetic lens. Whether pondering the oddness ‎of animals or tracing the contours of loss, these poems hold a quiet power ‎that both grounds and uplifts.‎ A soulful, playful, and deeply observant journey through memory, meaning, ‎and the melodies tucked inside silence.‎
