Market Incentives to End War

This book outlines a radical new way in which market incentives can be injected into the achievement of society's most urgent goal: lasting world peace. Markets are the most efficient means yet discovered of allocating society's scarce resources. But free, competitive markets have been undermined and corrupted, to the benefit of wealthy corporations and individuals. So it is important to remind ourselves that market forces and self-interest can serve social, as well as private, objectives. This book introduces a new financial instrument, World Peace Bonds, which would channel the market's incentives and efficiencies into the achievement of humanity's most yearned for - and yet seemingly impossible - goal: the ending for all time of all forms of violent political conflict.
