Malice Confronted

Betsy Kissel's personal photography blog, Plain Sight, takes a dark, unexpected turn when she stumbles upon more than just the faces of Tucson's migrant community. What starts as a social media project quickly spirals into a dangerous web of shell companies and violent cartel laundering schemes preying upon southern Arizona's most vulnerable population. Driven by a stubborn need for justice, Betsy decides to dig into the underworld's financial crimes. But the closer she gets to the truth, the deadlier the game becomes. Even after her father pleads with her to back off-revealing that a brutal murder has already been linked to the organization-Betsy refuses to let the criminals remain hidden in the shadows. As local authorities, front companies, and cartel hitmen collide, Betsy finds herself squarely in the crosshairs. The competing interests generate explosive friction that ultimately results in a climactic confrontation. How far will she go to expose the truth? And how far will a ruthless syndicate go to silence her?
