Machine Malediction

Jessi Jace is a former journalist who isolated himself from the rest of the world with his dog, Scott, but after a mysterious attack upon his house, he is plunged into a much darker nation-wide crisis. He soon finds out that robots owned by the popular corporation "Starwell" have gone rogue due to reasons that are currently unknown. Upon his quest to find the one that harmed his dog and survive the machines, he stumbles upon two Starwell employees along with their families: Gabriella Coworth, and Fredrick ForestBook. As things get further out of hand, Jessi and the others are found by an organization called "Machine And Technology Agency (MATA)." Led by second-in-command Clara Wynn, the organization was tasked with protecting and rescuing survivors from the crisis, as well as finding out what exactly was causing the robots to turn corrupted. The agency has recently suspected that it may be caused by a group of four magical artifacts called "Manifestas." They already have one of them, named "Thunder," and now they must find the one called "Wildfire." Though it is not entirely known why the robots want these artifacts, outside of being the reason for their corruption, they know they must learn what these artifacts can do, and they task Jessi Jace to figure it out. A small group of robots led by a more deformed version of Starwell's "Melody" have a hold on Wildfire, so Clara sends a group of MATA members, along with Jessi Jace, to take hold of the Manifesta, as well as study each deformed robots' abilities.
