Lucia Upstaged

In Tilling, no triumph goes unchallenged. Lucia, ever determined to reign supreme, has devised her boldest spectacle yet: a grand evening of her very own film with music to remind her friends - and her rivals - who truly rules the town. Crimson drapery, a freshly tuned piano, and a captive audience are all in place. What could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot, as it happens. Elizabeth Mapp-Flint, of course, is already sharpening her tongue. Georgie, usually content to flutter at Lucia's side, finds himself distracted by newcomer Raymond Fordson and tantalising glimpses of life beyond Tilling. Lucia Upstaged brims with sly humour, rivalries, and the kind of social skirmishes that make Tilling's cobbled streets echo with scandal. Perfect for fans of sharp tongues, bruised egos, and the indomitable spirit of Lucia herself.
