Love, journey

The teenage years are nothing short of character-building. You love, you lose, and you learn. You lose the things that you love, and inevitably, you learn to love what you lose. In all honesty, I wouldn't wish being a teenager on my worst enemy.Through my early teen years, I fell in love with poetry as a method of coping with loneliness, low self-esteem, anxiety, and family drama. With that being said, I wrote and compiled this book of poems and prose to illustrate my teenage experience. Every title, every line, and every stanza break is a part of my story. Some days, I had all the words the world could offer. Other days, all I had was a pen.Despite the angst in these years, I love the person that I've become because of them. And I hope that anyone reading my story can walk away from this book with the same love in their heart.After all, you truly do have to fall in love with the journey...
