Bol 90 poems by a 90 year old American poet on the edge of America, in California - casting a cold eye on life, death, passion and despair Sam Eisenstein spotlights tender, unique moments in relationships spanning a lifetime – charting how the impressions we form of others in our youth are confronted by the passing of time: the school reunions where 'I expected to see them still large/ with talented life... The fact that they had been gone/ all that time, their sudden absence/ killed all the echoes of their music.' This collection brings back the cherished, the loved and departed, presenting them with full colour and uniqueness in tones that are highly personable, intimate and witty. This collection speaks quietly but urgently that time waits for no one and life's treasures are in the shared moments.
