In Lost Ruins of Arnak: Twisted Paths betreed je onbekend terrein met grotere tempels, duistere grotten en nieuwe manieren om jouw expeditie tot een succes te maken. Twisted Paths is een uitbreiding voor Lost Ruins of Arnak waarin deckbuilding, workerplacement en resourcemanagement centraal staan maar worden uitgebreid met nieuwe mechanics die zorgen voor meer variatie, strategie en uitdaging voor het basisspel. De uitbreiding introduceert een grotere, dubbelzijdige kaart met twee unieke onderzoeksroutes die inspelen op een dag- en nachtcyclus. Overdag beklim je de Owl Temple, waar je tempeltegels combineert om extra idol-slots vrij te spelen en met de nieuwe Lantern-token krachtigere beloningen ontvangt. Zodra de avond valt, betreed je de Spider Temple en gebruik je dark tablets om sterke effecten te activeren. Deze krachtige resource brengt risico met zich mee want te veel gebruik kan minpunten opleveren. Tijdens je expeditie kom je ook guardians tegen die de tempels beschermen, terwijl assistants je helpen om jouw strategie te versterken. Het spel eindigt na vijf rondes, waarna alle punten worden geteld en de speler met de hoogste score wint. Explore undiscovered regions of Arnak! Twisted Paths is the final major expansion for Lost Ruins of Arnak. It brings a new double-sided map that’s bigger than the one in the base game—and each side comes with its unique layout, research track and temple, and also its own new mechanisms and components (like brand new temple tiles or new resources—dark tablets). You can choose to explore the day side of the map and scale the Owl Temple—or brave the night and journey through the dark caverns of the Spider Temple! Twisted Paths is the final addition to the world of Arnak. Its major highlight is a new double-sided map, bigger than the one in the base game, that features two new research tracks, each with unique mechanisms and components. On the map, you can choose to explore its daytime side and scale the white stone of the Owl Temple. It uses unique new temple tiles that, if combined together, can become extra idol slots, and a third research token, a lantern, that brings even stronger research rewards. You can also brave the night and journey through the dark caverns of the Spider Temple. This side uses a new resource, dark tablets, used to invoke mysterious altars and place artifacts directly onto the research track to be used when ascending the track. But beware—using the dark tablets can give you strong rewards, but also cost you points should you become too ambitious! In addition to the two new maps, the expansion also contains new guardians, sites, and assistants. It also brings some solo content—Rival tiles for the new maps, as well as Purple Rival tiles and Rival Objectives, two mini expansions we’ve previously released online as print-and-play.
