Bol The motivation for conducting this study, which is the result of my master's thesis, arose during my practice as a nurse in a family health unit, where I witnessed how much longitudinal interaction with users influences the promotion of comprehensive care. The longitudinal bond consists of a link that connects the health professional to the user. It is established in the relationship built over time based on the user's trust in the professionals and the team's responsibility for care and health promotion. This book presents the results of a practical investigation that sought to understand the strategies that promote bonding, carried out by family health teams in the care of patients with chronic noncommunicable diseases. Studying bonding practices provided an understanding of care beyond the use of instruments and technical knowledge, but also in the field of relationships, which has been fundamental to health work. However, these practices are sometimes losing ground and failing to fulfill their role in building and enhancing individualized care.
