Little Wild

When Joanie’s father discovers their secret, Margaret is exiled to a dilapidated lodge with her estranged father and his magpie colony, and she begins to feel increasingly wild. As the heat endures, Margaret faces the choice between surrendering to her dark impulses and pursuing what she desires most.

The novel explores queer love, privilege and the intoxicating dangers of embracing the wild, blending historical detail with a piercing emotional core.
