Linguistic and Cultural Issues in the Context of Tolerance

This monograph examines linguistic and cultural issues in the context of tolerance. Drawing on prose works by Russian-speaking Kazakh writers, it explores the characteristics of bilingual texts, identifies the mechanisms for fostering tolerant intercultural dialogue through artistic bilingualism, determines the heuristic potential of linguistic and cultural interpretation of bilingual texts in relation to the communicative category of tolerance, and identifies and classifies discursive practices of tolerance.
