Leveraged: the Width of Cross: Limited Atonement

When Christ died, whose sins did He carry? Calvinism points to the sheep, the church, and the people Christ came to save, then concludes that He died only for a fixed number chosen before the world began. The first claims are written plainly. The word "only" is not. In thirty-five direct chapters, Samuel D. Thomas Sr. examines the strongest case for limited or definite atonement: John 10 and 17, Ephesians 5, Acts 20, Matthew 1:21, Isaiah 53, Owen's trilemma, the double-payment argument, sacrifice and application, and the claim that a universal provision would be merely hypothetical. Then the book turns to the texts that refuse to stay narrow: the whole world, every man, a ransom for all, the Savior of all men, the world of John 3:16, and the repeated biblical language of whosoever. The conclusion preserves what Scripture affirms without leveraging particular language into exclusion. Christ truly died for His sheep, His church, and His people. He also provided for the world. The cross is sufficient for every person and applied through faith to everyone who receives what was genuinely provided for them.
