Paul Morris, the beach bum living in the outermost house, is back. When he finds the love of his love shot on Easton Beach his friends gather round once again to investigate: Arthur Dean, the damaged Vietnam vet; Rachel, his biological daughter, now married with a son; Horse, the supreme surfer; Jenny and Ginny, Horse's lovers in an open relationship; Herbert, the PI and retired Chief of Police; Lorena, the tiny hacker who is glad to tell you she swings both ways; Carson, the experienced and overconfident hacker, mentor to Lorena, and Benito Juarez, a retired clandestine operative with very quiet shoes who has vowed never to kill anyone again. If they can't find out who shot Jaci, maybe no one can. Then again, maybe no one can.
