Les grandes bourgeoises

Cerise, Philippine, Iris, Douce, Lila and Rose, six very wealthy ladies, all went to the same debutante balls, all married money, all love their comfy life like a cat loves his cushion. No tenderness in these gals, they are constantly scrutinizing each other, making judgements, dealing with jealously and lashing out when necessary. A mysterious emerald ring has been circulating among them and might upset them so much they choke on their petit-fours. They represent such a delightful bouquet of the imperfections money can generate: a thick coat of morals, hopeless naivety, extravagance, narcissism, hysteria, and even greed. And, in spite of their luxurious life, they all dream of getting away from it all, to that mythical paradise where they might run wild and free of the rules of society. To sum it up, they didn't learn how to lead the simple life and must pay the consequences. But somehow they always pull themselves back on their feet.
