Legend: the White Woman and Sickness

Fifty years after a devastating plague nearly wiped out humanity, the Zaltana 'High Mountain' reservation stands as a sanctuary of survival and rebirth. As the anniversary of these events arrives, Qaletaqa 'Guardian of the People' recalls the ancient prophecy of his mother, Violet Grier, the white woman destined to save the Zaltanian bloodline. Gathering the tribe's children, Qaletaqa recounts the dark days of the sickness and the mysterious events leading up to it. Through the carvings of an ancient totem and the wisdom of Chief Hawk-Eye, he reveals how Mother Nature fought back, unleashing spirit beings to restore balance. The tale follows their American allies, Drew Cunningham and Sergeant Gordon Phillips, as they faced unimaginable dangers to aid the tribe. As Qaletaqa delves into the past, he shares the struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs that forged their new world. This is a story of prophecy, resilience, and the enduring power of legends."It's easy to remember the monsters out there, but it's just as easy to forget the monsters in our minds and in our hearts."
