Bol The present research aims to address the convergence in plurinational states, influenced by the new Latin American and Andean constitutionalism, which led to the constitutional recognition of indigenous justice in Ecuador, especially in the Constitution of Montecristi. The research is situated in the current context, examining the legal framework developed for the harmonization of indigenous and ordinary justice, which have been confronted on various occasions. A qualitative methodology is used, based on bibliographic review, legal doctrine and jurisprudence, and on the analysis of the Guide of coordination mechanisms between authorities of both justice systems in interjurisdictional processes of 2023. The initial conclusions suggest that the constitutional recognition of indigenous justice and the plurinational state promotes the inclusion and protection of the rights of indigenous communities, contributing to a more equitable society that respects diversity.
