Learner Centered Education

In this book, David Reilly challenges educators and policy makers to rethink the role of schools and the purpose of education in the complexity of today's world. Against a historical backdrop of failed school reform initiatives, he calls for the transformation of schools into coordinated learning organizations motivated by collaboration, shared responsibility and commitment. Incorporating learner-centered philosophy and teaching, these schools would revolve around two interrelated elements: flexibility to accommodate the varying learning needs of a diverse student body and adaptability in response to students' changing learning needs.
