Leadership for Asset Management Excellence The Six Sigma Design Reliability

In this second volume of the Six Sigma Design for Reliability, we will explore the foundational principles associated with a Six Sigma improvement project. We will outline the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) model for managing your reliability improvement project, and provide a detailed description of techniques used to derive the improvement hypothesis that will help you explain why the current condition is incapable of meeting stakeholder expectations. Through measurement methods like “Maintainability” and “Reliability” we will discover the improvement priorities. Finally, this volume will discuss when and how to use “Root Cause Analysis”, “Failure Modes and Effects Analysis” and “Graphical Analysis” techniques to recognize the source of sub-optimal performance in order to begin the improvement phase of your project and drive a better future value for your business.
