Le Penitent de Paris

Upon his arrival from Florence, Pieter Linden is hired as an apprentice by Charles Louet, a painter whose business is far from flourishing. Pieter begins to restore Louet s reputation but a series of mysterious and brutal murders begin to disrupt the neighbourhood. The victims are all related in one way or another to art and their faces, frozen in a mask of terror, are all slashed with brush strokes of paint. As if they had seen the devil himself and he wanted to appose his signature on his bloody work. Cool-headed, not in the least bit afraid of the manifestations of evil, and gifted with a keen sense of observation, Pieter will conduct this new investigation with brio and bring serenity back to the neighbourhood.
