Las Olas | The Waves is a collection of letters, consejos | words of wisdom & poems to myself on the healing journey, gifted to the homies. It was inspired by the idea that inside of us all is a boundless ocean. And just like the water itself, we can experience moments of stillness, ripples, the crashing waves of a stormy shore and rolling tides that are all affected by the air, our breath, the sun and moon, our soul and mind. These waves encompass different aspects of our lives, including Culture, Childhood, Parenthood, Low Tide, Healing, Community, High Tide and Love. This book reminds you that even when we experience the natural ebbs and flows, we still have power over the whole damn ocean.
