Large Fruited Cranberries in Belarus Introduction and Variety Studies: Collection of Articles

The collection includes an article on the history of the introduction of large-fruited cranberries in Belarus, an article on the biochemical composition of their fruits, as well as articles on the results of studies conducted in the Belarusian Polesie region on large-fruited cranberry varieties between 2007 and 2013. The results of observations on the phenological rhythm of large-fruited cranberry cultivars and the formation of their generative sphere are presented; a description of the characteristics of fruiting under introduction conditions, a description of the morphological characteristics of the vegetative organs and fruits of the studied large-fruited cranberry varieties, an assessment of the varieties' resilience in climatic conditions new to them, and the prospects for growing the studied varieties on commercial plantations. The species composition of weeds on cranberry plantations is described, and the most harmful weed species are identified.
