Land Subsidence

The proceedings of the Seventh International Symposium on Land Subsidence, held in Shanghai in October 2005, focus on the effect of gas withdrawal on land subsidence and coastal morphology in the Ravenna province of the Northern Adriatic. Barends et al. (from GeoDelft and TUDelft in the Netherlands, the National Research Council in Italy, and the U. of Padova in Italy) compile 10 papers by an international group of contributors who research oil and gas reservoir development and the effects of land subsidence due to subsurface fluid removal. Beginning in 2003, these contributors studied reservoir behavior and subsidence and environmental effects and report on the results here. There is no index.
