Bol Jimena, an Argentine biologist based on the outskirts of Seattle, receives a letter that her friend Blanca wrote before she died. The message will drag her back to Buenos Aires and to the memories that both shared in the labyrinth of files of the Judiciary. Between invented reports, ambiguous clues and stories from different eras, Jimena will reconstruct Blanca's life, surrounded by the ghosts of a country marked by absence and the legacy of the dictatorship. Winner of the First Prize for Novel Written in Spanish in the United States, convened by the National University of Mexico (UNAM) in San Antonio, Julieta Vitullo delivers an elegant plot that investigates the nooks and crannies of memory, friendship and love.
