Elodie, age twenty-three, temporarily living in Los Angeles, decides more or less as a game to try the green card lottery that, if she gets lucky, will allow her to live and work in the USA. Out of thousands of participants, Elodie's name comes up and she quickly begins the paperwork and chest x-ray to obtain her card. But that one x-ray turns into several as doctors reach a shocking diagnosis: bone cancer. At her young age, Elodie must find a way to face the challenge of a life-threatening illness. This is the story of the struggle that changed her life.
