Kim Myhr Pressing Clouds Passing Crowds (LP)

De Noorse gitarist/songschrijver/Kim Myhr schreef de muziek van 'Pressing Clouds Passing Crowds' in opdracht van het Canadese FIMAV-festival (Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville). Het stuk werd uitgevoerd met het strijkkwartet Quatour Bozzini (uit Montreal), de percussionist Ingar Zach en de stem van de dichteres Caroline Bergvall, haar eigen teksten voorlezend. Myhr was geinspireerd geraakt door het werk van Bergvall en van muzikanten als Robert Ashley en Morton Feldman Nu kon hij zelf aan de slag met een 'longer, slow-moving, warm, harmonic, intimate and meditative piece centered around a speaking voice'. De compositie bestaat uit 6 songs, maar 'all the tracks blend into each other so that they feel like one slowly changing state of mind, full of intense rhythmic repetitions, wild swirling strings and the hypnotic and dramatic voice of Bergvall'.
