Bol What would you do if your parents said, "Don't eat those peas-have these brownies instead"?In this playful, rhyming tale, children everywhere get their wish when vegetables disappear and desserts take their place. Candy, cookies, and cake become the new normal, and at first, it's a dream come true. But as the days turn into years, all that sugar leads to some surprising-and hilarious-consequences. From bouncing off the walls to feeling completely worn out, the children soon discover that too much of a good thing isn't so good after all.Filled with humor, imagination, and lively illustrations, Just Desserts: A History for Finicky Eaters is a sweet and satisfying story about balance, choices, and learning to appreciate the foods that help us feel our best-all wrapped in a fun, imaginative tale kids will want to read again and again.
