Bol Juno and Manu are cousins living in the Kenyan highlands, surrounded by green tea farms. Each morning they help the workers pick tea, and their running around the fields once earns them a scolding. One day Juno needs help carrying a basket of tea to the factory for weighing - it's far too heavy for her alone, and even together the cousins struggle, stopping constantly along the way. Their friends Juma and Korir refuse to help, and Manu eventually gives up and sits down in the grass. Instead of quitting, Juno starts gathering twigs and branches; Manu fetches his father's hammer, nails, and some small wheels, and the two build a sturdy cart, one twig at a time. The loaded cart makes the trip easy, and at the factory everyone - including the worker who had been stern with them - wants one.
