He does Jazz, classical and many others, but since he loves film scores he is willing to dabble in almost anything. Bol PartnerThe Layers is de opvolger van het album View With A Room (2022) van gitaarvirtuoos Julian Lage. De collectie bevat zes originele werken waarin Lage samen met bassist Jorge Roeder, drummer Dave King en gitaaricoon Bill Frisell nieuwe orkestraties ontdekt. De zes nummers van The Layers delen een meer atmosferische muzikale wereld dan de tien tracks op View With A Room. Op het album staat de akoestische gitaar centraal en worden langere vormstructuren ontdekt met grotere ruimte voor improvisatie.
