John in the Valley of Buttons: Yesterday

There are places where getting lost is easier than remembering where you came from. A man wakes at the foot of a tower. He does not know how he got there. He cannot remember his name. And the world around him seems to follow rules no one feels obliged to explain. It is called Solaria. A land where light can mean life, darkness conceals far more than night, and creatures that should not exist wander through streets, forests and skies as though there were nothing remarkable about them. The locals decide that a nameless man cannot remain nameless. And so John Towerfoot comes into being. As he searches for a way home, he will find friends he would never have chosen, enemies he will recognise too late, and people for whom - against all common sense - he will be willing to risk everything. But Solaria is keeping something from him. Because before John can discover how to go back, he must understand why he came. And, above all, remember who he was. YESTERDAY
