In all this, he meets eco-minded Mike, a larger-than-life Aussie larrikin who dreams of making the tropics what they once were before western products and ideas littered the once virgin landscape. This book is about giving and taking - Joey realises his gift back to the local people is to help them relinquish their growing addiction to capitalist values and consumerist waste.
