JAMES AND PEPE NATE BUILD A TINY HOME

Every Saturday, James waits by the window for Pepe Nate-and the tiny-home trailer he built with his own hands.James dreams of becoming a builder just like his grandfather. So when Pepe Nate arrives with a brand-new blue van and invites James to help turn it into their next tiny home, James can hardly wait to begin. Then an accident damages the van, and the project must be delayed. As James waits week after week, he learns that plans can change, disappointment can be handled with love, and the best things are worth waiting for. When the repaired van finally returns, James and Pepe Nate measure, cut, paint, and build side by side. Their finished tiny home becomes more than a project-it is a celebration of family, patience, teamwork, and a dream taking shape.Written for shared reading with children ages 2-8, this illustrated picture book honors grandparents, young makers, and the joy of creating something together.
