Investing in Uzbekistan (2017 2025)

The textbook is dedicated to the analysis of investment activity in the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the period from 2017 to 2025. It examines the key directions of investment policy, the reforms undertaken in the financial-credit, tax, and organizational regulation spheres, as well as their impact on the inflow of both domestic and foreign investments. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), including the creation of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), the introduction of investment incentives, and the modernization of legislation aimed at protecting investor rights. The textbook provides a detailed analysis of FDI dynamics by sector, including energy, industry, agriculture, digital economy, and transport infrastructure. A separate section is devoted to Uzbekistan's cooperation with international financial institutions, including the World Bank, ADB, and IsDB, and the investment projects implemented through these partnerships.
