An Analysis of my Economic FrameworkBehavioral economics represents a significant departure from classical economic models, which traditionally assumed that individuals act as perfectly rational agents-often referred to as Homo economicus-who consistently maximize their utility based on complete information.In contrast, the behavioral approach, as explored my idea, integrates psychological insights into economic decision-making to explain why individuals often deviate from rational expectations due to cognitive biases, heuristics, and social influences.My approach to behavioral economics suggests that by understanding the psychological mechanisms behind human choices, policymakers and social architects can design "nudges" or choice architectures that influence social development.By shifting the context in which decisions are made-without restricting freedom of choice-social systems can encourage behaviors that align with long-term societal well-being, such as increased savings rates, healthier lifestyle choices, or more sustainable environmental practices.
