Oftentimes, these young men are demonized and become victims of the stereotypes that are projected onto them...a "super predator", a "thug", a "drug dealer"... a statistic. Raised without a father and orphaned at seventeen, Quincy Newell was told the same-but he didn't listen. Instead, he chose to put his faith in God and decided to believe that he had a value that no one outside of him and God could determine...this self-realization helped him to establish his own self-worth and a set of personal standards that allowed Quincy to envision and then achieve a life filled with purpose.
