Inhabiting Time — Mapping the Transition

This is a book about art and culture, but also about growing up, remembering, and positioning oneself in a world in constant flux. It describes how the familiar human perspective merges with new forms of orientation, and how representing and naming help us to situate the now in time. Part philosophical novel, part artist's book, this is also an act of cultural criticism – on perception, memory and position, and the ways in which these shape one another. Their dialogue moves between childhood memories and the visual structures of thought of Peabody, Piet Mondrian and Le Corbusier. Together they explore how our experience of space, time and reality shifts, in a world that is reinventing itself in our very era. K explores the intersection of lived time and digital time, and how fundamental shifts at the macro level shape individual experience.
