Initially more preoccupied with the vibrant social scene than academia, his letters detail a whirlwind of nightly parties, sexual exploration, and experimentation with drugs. These raw and unfiltered accounts reveal true moments of clarity in our narrator as he ruminates on love, friendships, and his cultural background, while teetering on the brink of self-destruction.
